1905. His eldest daughter, Mary Elsie Harvey married Charles P Parker I of W Jun 1905. A grand wedding . George & Mary seated on right in photo below . George Searle Harvey and his future wife, Kate Cassell, are in the back row, 2nd & 3rd from the right .

Much later on, when both their spouses had died, Charles Parker would marry his sister in law, Kate Cassell

1909. His daughter, Una, becomes pregnant and she is sent off to Great Easton to have the baby, Cecily. His wife goes to bring them back, and, horrified and angry as he was, he eventually accepts the child

1910. His eldest son, George Searle Harvey, married in 1907, leaves for New Zealand. His 2 other sons will eventually go out to Canada, along with his daughter Olive. Daughter Una will go to California, But thence to Canada, and just 2 daughters will stay in England

Married 24 years, 8 children, all still alive . The grandchild, Cecily Joan Harvey, was born 1909 in Great Easton Essex to Una Hope Harvey, single parent

"Greatgrandfather George was of the 'old school' ~ an upright churchgoer, a disciplinarian and a somewhat stern fellow lacking in affection ~ a Victorian.
He immersed himself in the affairs of St John's Church, a joint parish church with Christ Church. The possessor of a good singing voice, he was a chorister there for thirty three years"- Gary .

1919. His widow Mary Jane, children Charles and his son Norman, Olive, and ten year old Cecily emigrate to Canada, where Una had also moved to from the United States.
